El ingeniero santandereano, Gonzalo Díaz Dorante y un grupo de dirigentes del Movimiento Alianza social comenzaron a trabajar para llevar el mensaje a los habitantes de la capital de Santander, para buscar el respaldo a la alcaldía de la ciudad.
Ante un grupo de 60 dirigentes de los diferentes barrios de Bucaramanga el ingeniero Gonzalo Díaz expuso someramente la plataforma de acción que podría convertirse en la propuesta principal de su gestión para el primer cargo municipal.
Gonzalo Díaz es ejecutivo de la Organización de Integración Latino-Canadiense con sede en Colombia y ha trabajado en los dos países en los últimos 10 años con el fin de adquirir experiencias político-administrativas que le den solidez a una proyectada gestión en la alcaldía de la capital de Santander.
